FACT:
Every suburb, area or community where a camera & monitoring system has been installed, anywhere in South Africa, has resulted in a drastic reduction in criminal activity, notably in Chelsea, or Mount Road for example, where they have had a roughly 75% reduction in crime. EVERY area where cameras have been installed tells the same story.

HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE MANAGED?
We have already installed 6 camera Poles to the value of R420 000.00 so as the money grows again, we will start the installation of the new cameras poles. Please note that the account will be audited by our treasurer and the RPA jointly and we will make available to anybody who wishes to check that the money is being spent on the cameras and nothing else.
We stated that this is a joint effort and without you the community, this won’t happen.

PROPOSED SITES (FOR THIS PHASE)
The expansion Model for now is based upon 8 more Camera Poles:
• 1 Single LPR and camera View Poles
• 4 Poles with 2 View Cameras
• 3 Poles with 3 View Cameras
One of the poles above will have LPR and Motion Detection Cameras on them as follows:
A: 1 LPR Hikvision cameras on in Tafat Street. This camera have the ability to check double vehilces going to wells estate, hence the need for only one camera per two lanes.
B: Each of the camera stations will have two state of the art Hikvision Accusense AI CCTV cameras that can detect specific movement, i.e. either cars or humans and or both and ignore other movement criteria, installed on the poles. The Yellow dots will be two cameras and the green dots three cameras.
GOOD TO KNOW
Fully installed with solar panels as the source of energy. This negates the need for electricity during load shedding. (They have batteries too.)

Cameras are fitted with a downward-facing dome camera too, and tamper alarms, so that we know if someone is attempting to vandalize them.
